Rated 5 out of 5 by from does anyone not have a can of this? I'm a handyman sort of guy. I use this as honing oil when sharpening yard tools, cleaning wrenches after a job (applied to a rag), lubricating shears (particularly hedge clippers) of all sizes types, lubricating hinges. My Grandfather was in the hardware business. My father always had a can handy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Stuff This product is the best, most versatile lubricant around the house. It can be used on all sorts of things, and the bottle is great if you actually understand how it works. There are these things called directions, people need to start looking at them! I have a bottle of this stuff from 1992, that my Dad passed on to me when I started doing more projects around the house than him. It's great for bikes, tools, hinges, small axles, toys, joints, basically anything. As said before, makes a great hinge lubricant and honing oil for knives. Makes anything metal look great and work great, a wonderful tool for getting that shine. I'd recommend everyone have a bottle of this stuff sitting somewhere, it's great for all sorts of stuff.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good stuff I've been using 3 in 1 oil all my life. From a kid with a knife collection, to an adult with a love for knives and guns, and a professional carpenter. 3 in 1 oil is my choice for lubricating firearms, knives, and for honing oil. It is great on all my hand tools' joints as well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great oil, bad bottle Please fix the bottle in the next design! The oil is great. I would recommend if the bottle were not leaking. The oil ruined several items in my garage! One star for leakage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Old-School Solution For High-Tech Applications! 3-in-One Oil -- Useful In High Tech Applications! I've always used 3-in-One to fix sewing machines for my friends... and to keep my air-tools ticking over. It keeps the bearings happy and when it atomizes it leaves a rather pleasant smell. I ran into a situation where one of our sprue-picking robots at a plastic molding factory bound up. I cleaned it with WD-40 then treated the bearings with 3-in-One. Robot is still screaming along. I've been to other plastic factories since then and always specify 3-in-One for robotic applications. It keeps the bearings sliding, does not react to resin fumes coming off the mold and is easy to clean and re-apply. Finally, I started using it in my home-workshop. Works great on my Shurline CNC lathe and mill -- the servos are over 15 years old at this point and still as accurate as day one. A couple drops keeps the spindles happy, and the the ballscrews show little wear. The real kicker though was using it in my 3D printers and filament extruders. Yes it works great to keep the mechanical motions smooth... but I found a couple drops in the hot-end of the extruder helps break up carbon-buildup and acts as a purging agent. Same thing with my filament-making extruder -- couple drops mixed with my regular purge agent blasts all the crud from the barrel. Best part is 3-in-One does not stink like other oils when hot! I wouldn't want to breath it in (use proper PPE and ventilation) but at least I am not offending the Female Creature who shares my living-quarters when I use it.
